Earrings are refitted screw backs, the fans are marked 925 and the screw backs are Alpaca. Unfortunately, from early in the 20th Century until the 1960's ladies did not have pierced ears. Many beautiful old pieces such as these earrings were changed. Luckily you can still see the marker's mark, which reads "R.O.A." surrounded by Sterling and Mex (the rest is covered by the screwback, which are marked Alpaca). They measure 1 1/4" by 13/16".
