I started doing Doctor Diapers several years ago. I simply went to the phone book and looked up the Ob/Gyn Doctors and also Pediatricians. Then I stitched out some sample diapers, typed a letter, and sent a sample to the doctors in a manillla envelope. It wasn't long before I had so many orders, I could not believe it. I was soon asking everyone for help. Most Doctors, if impressed with quality and price, will continue to re-order from you. This is a service that not all Doctors are offered. If you do not get a response right away do not be discouraged. Once I mailed the samples out, I did not get a response for about 4 to 6 weeks from many of them. Some of my doctors pay as little as $7.00 each and as much as $10 each dependiong on the area. And please remember you Do Not have to use my designs.
Things to remember:
Doctors are very busy so mailing samples are the best
Keep the design very simple because time is money. The less stitch time and color changes, the more money you make.
On the sample include the Doctor(s) or Office Name. Everyone likes to see things personalized.
Do Not use thin/ cheap diapers. Use Quality Diapers
The average diaper costs only about $1.00 so make some money but do not overcharge.
Do not send out more diapers then you are able to make. Send a few out about every two to three weeks. This will allow you to see the response before you get overloaded with orders.
By using the same designs, the diapers can be made in advance without a name, when you get an order simply add the doctors name to the diaper.
I hope this inspires some to send out some diapers. I have told many about this and they have raved about the extra money they are able to make.
