This is a carved fruit bowl carved out of brown Mallee Burr from the gold fields of Western Australia. The fruit bowl is quite adequate to hold a large arrangement of different fruit and nuts

The complete items are always very striking and well worth the time and effort.

This fruit bowl is carved out using an angle grinder in union with a 4" rotary diamond blade once the required shape has been achieved then I will start to work through the grades and sanding starting with 60 grit up to 500 grit then sand-sealed once dry cut back then friction polished with two or three cotes is applied with high-speed buffer.
