CIVIL AIR PATROL PILOT (WIN 95,98,MT,NT,2000,XP)
In our newest add-on Civil Air Patrol Pilot, we bring to users of Microsoft Flight Simulator some of the many important operations that these volunteers fly each and every day. Using Flight Simulator they'll fly some of the same missions performing critical tasks that keep the CAP such an essential part of the our nation's resources.
We created the Rescue Coordination Center to simulate operations. You'll be in contact with Center where requests for missions are handled. One of the major tasks of the Civil Air Patrol is to conduct search and rescue operations. The CAP staff categorizes the search patterns into one of five types, based on the terrain, environment, and other characteristics: Expanding Square; Sector; Circle; Parallel Track; Creeping Line; ELT. You'll fly missions, which will use one of the above search patterns. Keep your eyes peeled. The target down below is small!
You can join the ranks of the Civil Air Patrol! Fly search and rescue missions to secure the homeland and to help those in need. Keep drugs and illegal substances out of our borders by flying recon missions along the coast. Fly the missions that keep the United States safe and out of harms way. The Civil Air Patrol has enlisted a few different aircraft models over the years.
You can take the pilot's seat in any of the following Civil Air Patrol aircraft:
- Cessna L-19 Bird Dog
- Cessna 185 Skywagon
- Gippsland GA8 Airvan
- DHC-2 Beaver
These are standard Flight Simulator flight plans that can be used by our special GPS to help with the search and rescue missions. Civil Air Patrol Pilot also includes missions Coastal Patrol, drug watch, water rescue, mountain search and rescue and many more scenarios.
