Bang - Bangster OL 430cc Titanium Driver Head
In early 2004, Bang starting working on a head made from 100% Beta Ti. Steve Almo, the President of Bang Golf felt that the consistency would be much better than several different alloys welded together and then heat treated.
Beta Ti is more tempermental and the cost factor is higher obviously but Bang was after consistency and so they had the engineers at the foundry get to work on it.
You may already know that metal fatique occurs in a clubhead at around 7,000 to 10,000 hits, no matter what company makes a club - and with Long Drivers or excessive swing speeds it occurs much faster. With the new Bangster 100% Beta Ti we tested the head at 20,000+ hits with absolutely no metal fatique at all! This eliminates the 'dead head' feel that some of you may have experienced after a while with other club heads.
This cannon testing proved the theory of Beta Ti consistency. This consistency related more to shell hardness as no soft spots that are over heat treated to allow for less absorbtion of energy for a more, again, consistency in rebound effect.
Because of these findings from the foundry engineers we will offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THIS HEAD under playing conditions or Long Drive conditions as long as the head is not altered and you are the original purchaser - NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
