This is the first time these highly collectable historic live recordings have been available together on CD; they have also been carefully remastered. Presented here are the surviving recordings from 3 appearances Charlie Parker made with 'local' musicians in Malmo And Helsingborg on his 1950 tour of Sweden. Present at all these sessions were Rolf Ericson (trumpet) Gosta Theselius (piano / tenor sax) And Jack Noren (drums) with Thore Jederby Or Folke Holst (bass) Lennart Nilsson (piano) And Rowland Greenberg (trumpet). Bird had been surprised by his enthusiastic welcome And took an immediate liking to Stockholm where his 1st concert featured Gunnar Svensson on bass with Ericson Noren etc as above. Five tracks from this date were supposedly taped but have never been commercially released
