Details:
This rare collector's item presents Miles Davis & John Coltrane in two rare radio broadcasts made in Miles' hometown St Louis Missouri in 1956 - prior to Coltrane's first departure from the band. It is one of the few recordings of Miles in St Louis recorded at the Peacock Alley club And Features the classic rhythm section of Red Garland Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones. As the MC clearly states at one point the quintet were swinging like crazy÷. This session was recorded in between the Columbia albums Round About Midnight÷ And Miles Ahead÷ And comes in the middle of his 'Relaxin-Workin-Steamin-Cookin' sessions for Prestige. This a must for all true Miles & Trane fans
