Riders, became a live sensation in the mid 1960s, playing hard edged soul/blues/r&b at a time black acts were going cabaret! Truly one of a kind, Cochran seriously impacted on the careers of Otis Redding, Elvis Presley and Pearl Jam to name but three. Despite searing singles and critically acclaimed albums he could not connect with a major breakthrough. Cochran, in fact, had already been robbed of a hit when his early composition and recording 'Last Kiss' was covered by j. Frank Wilson & The Cavaliers. Cochran's own music has been drastically under acknowledged and unheralded in the modern era with only 'Goin' Back To Miami' (The Blues Brothers) and 'Last Kiss' (Pearl Jam) making it onto CD. Now for the first time this multi label anthology fully documents all stages of Cochran's explosive career together with extensive liner notes, archival photographs and superb audio quality. over 77 minutes of music!
