Info: Damien and Shona first met in Sweden in 2002 when they both attended Ethno at the Falun Folk Festival a youth folk music summer school and festival. Damien 25 came to Newcastle from Colerain in Co. Derry to study on the Newcastle University folk and traditional music degree course. playing guitar and banjo and vocal. Shona 18 lives in Co. Durham and is second generation Irish. She grew up in the Tyneside Irish music scene playing in Comhaltas competitions where she became All-Britain Champion twice studying with source musicians in Ireland and the North East. Shona was a semi finalist in the BBC 2 Young Folk Awards 2001 and a finalist in 2002 playing piano accordion. Together on this their first album they play a passionate mixture of traditional Irish
