Ableton Live is a real-time audio production solution that eliminates the boundaries between composition, performance, recording and sound design. This new cutting-edge software has quickly become the standard for sample based looping, sequencing and processing. The Ableton influence spreads, as a lite version of Live now comes bundled with new Pro Tools systems.
In this class you will learn how to combine loops, phrases, complete songs and audio recordings of any tempo, modify grooves and correct timing, modulate pitch, volume and effect parameters for individual notes or parts of a sound file, and use built-in effects to make your own audio compositions.
You will also learn how to seamlessly integrate Live with your favorite ReWire-compatible application such as Pro Tools. Students are encouraged to bring their own sound material to work with.
