This 2-hour videotape program is intended to encourage and enable state and local education, health, emergency management, law enforcement, and homeland defense agencies jointly assure that schools are prepared to respond to possible biological, chemical, and radiological terrorism.
Upon completion of this program, learners will be able to:
- Identify appropriate actions for schools and community personnel to take in the event of possible biological, chemical, or radiological threats (i.e., hoaxes or actual attacks);
- Revise school emergency response plans to address possible biological, chemical, or radiological threats; and
- Collaborate effectively at the state and local level to ensure that schools are involved in emergency preparedness plans and activities.
