This two-hour program is from the August 5, 2004 satellite broadcast from the University at Albany's Women's Health Grand Rounds series. The program provides information necessary for public health and healthcare professionals to support breastfeeding and to implement best practices in breastfeeding management.
After viewing the program, you will be able to:
- Discuss ways to encourage breastfeeding promotion in all communities;
- Describe the benefits of breastfeeding for infants and mothers;
- Describe the factors which affect how women feed their infants, and the length of time involved;
- Describe the risks to infants who are not breast fed;
- Discuss workplace practices and strategies that encourage breastfeeding; and
