Each year, 1 in 4 adolescents reports verbal, physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Choose Respect Campaign is an initiative to help adolescents form healthy relationships to prevent dating abuse before it starts. This initiative stresses the importance of respect as a foundation for building healthy relationships.
This betacam SP contains 2 different ads that demonstrate how to deal with dating abuse. The television ads (30 and 60 second)"Friends" is available in English and Spanish, and show adolescents and teens how friends can help their friends prevent dating abuse and violence. An additional 30 and 60 second television ad "Just Talk" is also included on this video. It encourages parents to talk to their kids about relationships and dating abuse before the kids start dating. Use in schools, community centers, hospitals, or faith-based organizations.
