Each year, 1 in 4 adolescents reports verbal, physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Choose Respect Campaign is an initiative to help adolescents form healthy relationships to prevent dating abuse before it starts. This initiative stresses the importance of respect as a foundation for building healthy relationships.
This CD contains six versions of a one-minute radio ad that was created for teens and parents to promote respectful behavior in teen dating relationships. "Split Second" is for teens and reminds them that respect is a choice. It comes in country, dance, hiphop, rock, and Spanish. "Voices" helps parents become aware of dating abuse and encourages them to talk with their children about dating violence prevention.
