Dinu LIPATTI (1917-50) : Concerto for Organ & Piano. Cesar FRANCK (1822-90) arr. Ledroit : Symphonic Variations. Frederic LEDROIT (b. 1968) : Oppositions Op. 48. Marcel DUPRe (1886-1971) : Ballade Op. 30. Jean-Pierre Ferey (pf. ) Frederic Ledroit (organ of Cathedrale St. Pierre Angouleme). Three of the works on this intriguing disc were composed for the unusual combination of piano And organ while the fourth Cesar Franck's well-known 'Symphonic Variations' - has been arranged by the young composer Frederic Ledroit whose own 'Oppositions' is the most 'modern' piece on show. It is likely to be Dinu Lipatti's Concerto however which creates the greatest interest so all in all lots of reasons to buy the CD
