River Tay - The Tentsmuir Point Nature Reserve
The Tentsmuir Point Nature Reserve occupies the Fife shore at the mouth of the River Tay, wiith a wide belt of sand dunes on the shoreline and Tensmuir Forest extending inland. Sandbars protect the shoreline and the sandspit becomes more extensive at low tide. This view shows Tayport on the Fife shore above centre left with the Tay Road and Rail Bridges leading to Dundee on the far shore. Dundee itself extends along the shoreline from Invergowrie, to the left of the road bridge to Broughty Ferry and Barnhill on the far right. Around 30 seas are basking to the left of the sandbar in the foreground. N350-03-1104
