Jet Set With Teina Millar - On Your Mark Jet Set Go Go - LP
Details:
Reissue LP .. Here's a small classic of the Australian mod scene in 1966. Loads of Artwoods style organ ized mod r'n'b, also with significant influences from the modern jazz scene that took the Set to record nice covers of instrumental tunes like One Mint Julep or Goldfinger, which had hit hard on the soul jazz scene through Jimmy Smith's magic Hammond. Other jazz pop hits are included as is Georgie Fame's Yeh Yeh which shares the grooves with some big smashers like Hang On Sloopy or You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling. One big mod dance smasher is What Did The Man Say?, a gragey sounding composition penned by the band's leader Noel Quinlan. A highly collectable piece from downunder now available at a reasonable price. Strictly Limited Edition of 500 copies only! -
