Info: The entire recorded output of Gary Stewart & Dean Dillon as a duo plus 11 solo Dillon tracks confirming his stature as a young Merle Haggard. In 1981 RCA Nashville Record chief executive Jerry Bradley came up with the inspired teaming of promising newcomer Dean Dillon with seasoned honky tonk hit-maker Gary Stewart the pair immediately dubbed "The Quaalude Twins" because of their behind the scenes excessive behaviour. Nevertheless they created fine music now presented for the first time on CD. Aficionados are well aware of the quality of the early Dillon material while hard core George Strait fans can finally hear the original versions of some of his biggest hits. Stewart was embra by a crossover "hip" crowd and finally given credit for being perhaps the greatest modern exponent of drinking cheating songs. Fans will welcome this important missing link in his recordings.
