This blistering new album is being given the "Americana album of the month" treatment in the Aug 05 edition of Uncut magazine. After 20 years (!) a new album from the group that was a one-off tongue in cheek country side project of the famed Los Angeles punk band X Featuring the group's vocalist Exene Cervenka singer guitarist John Doe and drummer D.J. Bonebrake as well as The Blasters' guitarist Dave Alvin. Their first and up to now only album 1985's "POOR LITTLE CRITTER ON THE ROAD" was a collection of originals covers and acoustic revampings of earlier X material reworked in a variety of country-based styles running from swing to traditional. For this reunion they have concocted a similar mixture putting country and rockabilly spin on songs by X and
