Details:
The wonderfully named "The Good The Bad And The Chubby" is the brand new studio album from the larger than life guitar-slinging king of modern New York City Blues Popa Chubby. On this new recording he refines his unique mixture of blues rock rap funk And jazz still further making this his ninth album for Dixiefrog his most inspired yet. Popa Chubby draws as much influence from say Muddy waters & Freddie King as he does from Dr. Dre And Kid Rock. The album was still being recorded in New York as the grim events of September 11th unfolded And inevitably this gave a very different atmosphere to the tracks that followed intense passionate dramatic with elements of cold despair And restrained anger. The opening track "Somebody Let The Devil Out" was written in response to the terrorist attack And was recorded a week later. The ominously prophetic "If The Diesel Don't Get You The Jet Fuel Will" was written before the events. "I Can't See The Light of Day" is being issued as the first single from the album
Label: Dixiefrog
