British Movie Posters are known as "QUADS" which are nearly always landscape style as opposed to "1 SHEETS" which are portrait syle. Most Movie Posters from other countries are 1 SHEET style posters. Great Britain is the only country that uses QUADS.
Before the early 90's Most Quad Posters were single sided, then the studios introduced the double sided posters which has the exact same image on the reverse side only back to front. The purpose of this is to make the image more eye catching when the posters are illuminated from behind in the cabinets outside Movie Theatres. With single sided posters when they were backlit the colours were washy where as with double sided posters the image and colours are much richer and greatly enhanced.
More than often if a Movie does not perform well at the Domestic US Box Office the studios produce different images for International Marketing purposes. Therefore some of the posters in the "BRITISH QUADS" category differ to the original "1 SHEET" designs.
