The Prolift 230T is suitable for tilt-up and sectional doors. The 80kg maximum lifting force makes the opener suitable for both single and double doors made of wood, steel or fibreglass. The Prolift 230T will open doors of up to 3.0 meters (9ft 10in) high and 6.0 meters (19ft 8in) wide.
Doors over 2.2 meters (7ft 2in) high, simply require a further extension kit - please contact us for more details of this kit

What door do I have?

There are 2 types of garage doors:-
Type 1>A canopy door, where the tracks the door runs on, are up the side of the door frame and when the door is fully open, part of the garage door protrudes out of the front of the garage.
Type 2>A retractable or sectional door, where the tracks run back into the garage and when the door is open it is totally within the garage.
If you have Type 1> you need a 'Bow arm converter'.
If you have Type 2> you only need the standard opener.

David Smart - 04/03/2006 I bought one of these for my garage door after a similar product from another company (who shall remain nameless) failed. I was suprised at how superior the build quality of the Merlin units was, and I'm sure this one will last - it seems to have been built to. The Merlin may be a little more expensive than the lower end products, but I can vouch that you certainly get what you pay for!
