Unique Art Mfg. U.S. eagle button. This button appears to be enameled or jappaned copper or brass. The embossed emblem has the eagle, a ribbon that reads E Pluribus Unum, wheat sheaves. Large looped metal shank. A bit of the enamel/japanning has rubbed off the topmost surfaces, and there is a bit of price tag adhesive on the back (removable), but this button is in excellent condition. Unique Art Mfg was a Newark NJ company in the 1930s and 40s that made a variety of tin toys that are highly collectible today. I have not found another Unique Art Mfg button anywhere!
