Early handpainted realistic apple button made of celluloid or early plastic. Great color and form. Paint has worn off a bit, but the areas look like normal reflection spots that you would see on an apple. Please note that the photo is quite a bit larger than the actual button, making this small flaw much more noticeable than in person. I would still condition this to be in excellent condition. There is a self-shank on this button. Measures 1 1/4". A great collectible button! I would date this button circa 1930s-1950s.
