Crystal panels are stained Red in an unique process, then decorated by engraving and embellished with bright gold or platinum detailing.

Friedrich Egermann (1777-1864) received the highest acknowledgement for his invention of the staining process for Bohemian Glass in 1832. Due to his invention, Bohemian Glass became the world standard in glassmaking and he went on to win many awards for his works. His traditional manufacturing process has been preserved into the modern era and is now sold under the trademark of Egermann.

Both the history and modern era of the Egermann Company have been inherently connected with the most important personality of the glass manufacturing industry - Freidrich Egermann. Thanks to his talent and diligence he achieved revolutionary discoveries in glass making, even though he was injured several times in the process. The consequences of these injuries were masked by his now famous little black cap, and he rose to become one of the most respected citizens of Novy Bor.
