Dwight Gooden, known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K, epitomized the 'gotta believe' Mets in the mid- 80's. Throughout his career, Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series in 1986. He finished his career with the cross-town rival Yankees with a .634 winning percentage and 2293 strikeouts to his credit. And during the Yankees magical 1996 season, Gooden pitched a no-hitter against the Mariners on May 14. Doc Gooden has hand signed this Shea Stadium Final Season commemorative baseball. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
