Four isolated volcanic peaks covering 926ha nestled in the scenic Fassifern Valley are protected in Moogerah Peaks National Park.

The park contains most of the remaining rainforest in the once-extensive Fassifern Scrub. Dry rainforest with emergent hoop pines and low montane heath grow towards the summits of the peaks.

Mt French is an internationally known rockclimbing site with over 300 climbs for experienced climbers. Mt Moon (accessible only through private property with owner's prior permission and home to the brush-tailed rock-wallaby which is threatened with extinction.) and Mt Greville are for experienced bushwalkers and climbers also. Mt Edwards, near Moogerah Dam, has a walking track to summit. 10km west of Boonah. Mt French camping area Low key camping with limited for tents and vehicles. Staff on site; Toilets; Wheelchair access; Picnic tables; BBQs or Fireplaces; Water supply; Walking tracks; Lookout; NO RUBBISH DISPOSAL - must take with you; NO OPEN FIRES ALLOWED. Please note that water is not necessarily suitable for drinking and may have to be boiled first. It is a good idea to take your own drinking water.
