TLD 2 speed reels are tough. The two speed gear ratios are tough on fish, yet easy on you. High gear ratios make it easy to maintain tension on a charging gamefish. The low gear ratios give you a mechanical advantage when pulling a stubborn fish from the depths. Changing gears is quick and easy since the dual drive and pinion gears are continuously meshed. The waterproof stainless steel ball bearing graphite drags are smooth and have a long life. The A-RB bearings are treated with a special coating that makes them ten times more resistant to corrosion than ordinary stainless steel ball bearings. A stainless steel reel foot anchors the reel firmly in place. A sturdy aluminium die-cast spool holds up to the compressive forces of tightly wound line. TLD 2 speed reels are lightweight. When youre standing at the rail struggling to get a fish in, you dont need to fight the weight of the reel as well. Frames are made of XT-7, a lightweight material that is much more resistant to stress and torque than graphite, and exhibits greater resistance to wear.
