Large treenware bowl made marked Munising 2nd. Treen means "of the tree" and this is quite apparent with this bowl, as a large part of the tree trunk from which it came is quite visible on the underside, giving it great character. There is wear to this bowl, and a small crack in the bottom which is evidence of its age. Oiling this piece lightly with vegetable oil will even out the variations in color, bring out the grain, and add new life to this great piece. It is slightly oval, measuring 14 1/2" x 15". Depth is difficult to measure, but it is between 5" and 6".
