ZAP Residential DC Motor Drives
Operate vertical lift, high lift, standard lift and low headroom, & even rear mount torsion low headroom residential
sectional overhead doors. ZAP Operators can easily be installed by one technician in a matter of moments.
ZAP RL Controller
The ZAP RL Controller provides a soft start that does not require the addition of pusher springs in most standard
lift and low headroom applications, nor does it require a cable monitoring device. Zap Controllers offer a built in
Service Due Reminder, Operations Counter, & Delay Close programming. The ZAP Controller also provides an
automatic stop and reverse function with an adjustable sensitivity setting off on obstructions higher than 1.
Photo Cells are provided and the ZAP Operator is UL325 compliant. The ZAP Operator does not use limit switches,
as the ZAP Controller monitors motor current and automatically stops the door at the limit of travel. It also will
automatically stop the motor on sensing a slide lock left in a locked position. For integrated locking, an Auto-Lock
is available. Wiring terminals are provided for both external accessory radio controls by other manufacturers and
an optional courtesy light.
