SOLD Bakelite swallow stickpin in a luscious transparent tortoise shell color. The bird portion measures 2 1/8" across the wingspan. The entire stickpin measures 3". Highly polished and in excellent condition. Tested absolutely positive for Bakelite with a Bakelite testing pad, which is the surest method that I have found. Most likely from the 1940s, although this particular pin also showed up new in the 1970s. Either way, it's a great Bakelite pin for your Bakelite collection.
