Anglophiles and ship collectors... Pecrage marked and numbered stamped metal decorative wall plaque has been around since the 1960's. Made in England by Pecrage for the home decor market. The background appears to be painted black and rubbed off to create a sense of depth. You can see the brush marks and places where the color was wiped off. The surface patina has not been cleaned or polished. The back is unfinshed with some scratches and wear marks as you would expect it to have. Attached to the back is a metal hang tag with the makers name and country of origin. The glare on the photo is from the light source.
