This is an aqua, brown and white geometric silk scarf from the early 1970s signed Jean Nate. It has rolled edges, is very soft and in good condition. The primary design motif are five rows of juxtaposed 3" diameter circles over a background of five 2 5/8" wide stripes. The circles and rows are aqua, brown and white. The outer brown border color is integrated into the design. Silk with rolled edges.
Jean Nate was a popular after-bath "splash" in the 1960s. I do not know if the signature name on this scarf is related to the bath product. There are some abrasion marks from normal use where the silk was pulled slightly. With a fine touch and some care you can realign some of the areas. This is a vintage fabric that can be used creatively... might make terrific pillows or be encorporated into a silk crazy quilt.
