This heavy rimmed amber glass ash tray is 8" in diameter and was specifically designed for cigars. You can tell by the 1" width of the four depressions in the 1 1/8" wide rim where the cigar or cigarette rests. These ashtrays were designed to fit in pedestal ashtray stands that usually had a polished chrome finish, a decorative handle used to carry or move the piece from place to place and an alabaster or marble orb just above the foot. The glass is in excellent condition. You will find two tiny bubbles in the glass along the wide rim that are there as a result of the production.
