Ygdrasil is a stunning Altar board and meditation piece.
It was created with the Norse tradition Tree Of Life in mind, and features Ygdrasil, the Tree of Life in the centre, and a surround of the Elder Futhark Runes.
Ygdrasil was hand drawn onto the board, was then pyrographed to a high standard, and then painted with with the wood stains, creating a multi-layered effect on the leaves as the layers are built up layer after layer with the wood stain. It takes a long time to create this exact effect, but oh is it ever worth it!
Just look at the lustre on those leaves and imagine the tactile feel of this board.
When our friend was happy with the leaves, she then created the elder futhark around the board, finishing the design to perfection.
