He was an official Painter in Scotland in the 1930s. Highly represented in major collections, including the National Gallery of Scotland, City of Edinburgh Art collection, National Gallery of Canada and others.
CONDITION: This print is in excellent condition, although the mat has yellowed. It is in a early 1930s frame (which I discovered when I took the back off to check the print and found a 1930s newspaper behind the print). The frame shows some wear and weakening at the corners. The paper backing (on the frame) is torn and darkened with age. There is a faint handwritten inscription on the back that is a belated wish to Kit and somebody from Dave. A nice early print.
