Synopsis :
To learn more about our relatives - the primate, let's go deep into various forests and trace their track. Experience the return of chimps from human raising environments to the wild forest, it will be both fierce and cruel.

Primates
In Central Africa a family of mountain gorillas lives under the watchful eye of a dominant, 350-pound male. Chimps in Tanzania's Gombe Park use sticks to "fish" for termites, demonstrating their intelligence and their unequaled evolutionary closeness to humans. Orangutans, found only on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra, are the largest tree-dwelling mammals in the world. South America has more primate species than any other continent, among them the timid howler monkey; the murakee; the capuchins; the pygmy marmoset; the owl monkey; the squirrel monkey and the golden lion tamarind. Also featured: Asian macaques hunt for shellfish, and African yellow baboons guard their harems.

Born To Be Free : Chimpanzees In The Congo
The last twenty years have seen numerous attempts to reintroduce chimpanzees raised in captivity back to the forest, but none has managed to render the chimps completely independent of man for their food. At the head of her own organization, "Help Congo", Allette Jamart has been combating the illegal chimpanzee trade in the Congo for over ten years. Today, helped by the world's leading specialists, she has successfully released 15 animals into the forest from among the 48 orphaned babies she raised to maturity. This film will follow Derek, Jeanette and the other chimps' destinies over a six-month period until they once again discover life in the wild.

Keeli and Ivy : Chimps Like Us
Dr. Sally Boysen is conducting a landmark scientific study to understand how chimps think and learn. In this film, we will spend 2 years following Dr. Boysen as she raises baby chimps Keeli and Ivy and reveal the stories and science behind primate intelligence.
