Modern Mstera's miniature is based on art traditions, gained in 17th century. Masters of Mstera specialized in restoration of olden relics of ancient Russian painting. It provided the development of delicate feeling of coloring, based on hardly noticeable changes from one tone to another with prevalence of the main colour of Mstera's masters. For the first time painting on papier-mache in Mstera began in 1923, but they began working methodically in this sphere only in 1930. Prevalence of landscape is typically for modern Mstera's miniature. This violin box is a new design and a very unusual thing! The box is signed by the author. Size: 5.4 inches in height. Made entirely by hand, so no two exactly the same.
