Burntisland, Fife
Burntisland is now a holiday and commuter town on the Fife coast within easy reach of centres of employment such as Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes. This view of the beach and the links area at high tide shows the main road and railway following the coast. The new swimming pool and leisure centre is visible to the left of centre, with the links which still bear the marks of the fairground stalls which stood here during Burntisland Games about a month earlier beyond.
