The sea wall and car park beside the Scottish Golf Museum at the southern end of the West Sands in St. Andrews. The museum has an unusual location in that it is it is partly underground, with the entrance facade just beyond the car park in this photograph. The coastline changes at this point from a wide sandy beach running along the West Sands (bottom right) to a rocky shore (bottom left) which runs round to the harbour. The headquarters of the R & A - the Royal and Ancient, the world governing body for golf is located in the substantial building on the edge of the Old Course top centre right.
