Rutland's FM910 series wind turbines are well designed for home power systems, and other inland installations. With peak 200W output at 35 mph, and start speeds around 5mph, the 910 series is a good choice for many applications. Six blade design for quiet, balanced operation and reduced vibration.
The 6 blade design provides better balance and stability, especially under winter blade-icing conditions. The furling tail design rotates the generator out of the prevailing wind at speeds above 35mph, to protect the turbine from storm damage.
All Marlec Rutland wind generators are built to marine specifications, making them very durable in harsh environments. Their unique flywheel-effect generator continues producing power between sudden gusts of wind, when other turbines may stall. All Rutland generators feature low start-up speeds, and high peak output speeds, making them some of the most versatile home power generators available.
The FM910 is available in 12 or 24VDC. Designed for use with Rutland's HRS913 Regulator or the HRDX digital controller; or any 12V, 20 amp or 24V, 10 amp (or larger) load diverting controller. Controller needs to be ordered voltage specific. The Rutland/Marlec controller/regulators will also handle a small amount of additional solar.
Mounts by sleeving into 61mm (~2.4") ID pipe.
