Raspberry - Glen Ample. A new variety of mid season fruiting Rasberry which produces an abundance of very large, tasty, deep red raspberries from July to August. A vigorous variety with spine free canes allowing ease of picking. The succulent fruits are suitable for processing and freezing.Good level of disease resistance. Mulching around the base will produce larger crops and as with all summer fruiting varieties the stems need to be cut back to ground level after harvesting the fruit. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit. Plant 18in (45cm) apart in rows 6ft (2m) apart.
