Arriving on the Airport and pick up car.Day 2 : Etna/Taormina
Fantastic excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Across fascinating landscape, you will reach a height of 2000 metres, where you will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea. In the afternoon Taormina, the small medieval village called the pearl of the Ionic Sea, famous for its typical small streets and his fascinating Greek theatre. Day 3 : Piazza Armerina/Agrigento
Today, in the heart of Sicily, you can visit Villa Romana del Casale, famous for its fantastic mosaics. Then in Agrigento you will visit the wonderful Valle dei Templi. Concordia Temple, Ercules Temple, Giunone Temple and Castore and Polluce Temples represent the most beautiful example of the Greek Civilization in Sicily. Day 4 : Catania/Siracusa
In the morning visit the mercato (market) of Catania, then walk through Via Etnea, the Baroque street Via Crociferi, the Piazza Duomo with the Cathedral and the Liotru statue, symbol of the city, the roman Amphitheatre, the Opera House, the University, and the noble Palace of Biscari.
In Siracusa, the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily, visit Ortigia, the small baroque island, old city centre of Siracusa, and see the famous Fontana Aretusa. Discover the archaeological area with its marvellous theatre and Orecchio di Dionisio. Day 5 : Palermo
Today you can visit Palermo, one of the Capital of most rich town in Sicily for history and art. Visit the Cathedral, St. Giovanni degli Eremiti Church,, « Palazzo dei Normanni »,the Palatin Chapel; In Monreale admire the splendid Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics, and the cloister of the Benedectine monastery with Moorish and Norman architecture. In the old part of Palermo visit the beautiful Martonara church and have a nice walk through the narrow streets of Vucciria, Palermos main and old market. Day 6 : Aeolian Islands - Lipari and Vulcano
Lipari, the main island, certainly the richest in history, inhabited since the Palaeolithic Age. The most striking feature of the ancient remains is certainly the castle, dating back to the VI century and situated on the ancient acropolis. Today, the castle houses the "Aeolian Archeological Museum" which relates the History of the Islands from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. In Lipari you can not miss the roundtrip of Lipari: you will see beautiful coasts and seabeds, grottoes, beaches, bays and rocks.
Vulcano is the island of thermal springs and mud-bathing, a destination of sport enthusiasts who can appreciate and enjoy the beauty of its waters together with that of the volcano, from which there are breathtaking like the view of the surrounding islands. Day 7 : Free Time
