Best case for Kodak P850. October 17, 2006

I looked around long and hard for a good fit for my Kodak P850 as Kodak don't make a suitable one (all much to big). Tested the Crumpler range which looked nice but were too wide and tall and the depth was too tight. This case fits very snugly if you put the camera in upright (which I prefer) or a little looser if dropped in face down like an SLR with a big lense. There is room in the front compartment to carry an extra battery (or two) and your SD card case and perhaps a lense cloth or something. the whole thing is such a nice fit with no unused wasted space and I love the easy access with the snaplock type fitting (no horrible zips to scratch your camera). The manufacturing quality is superb using quality materials and good internal padding, pretty sure my camera would survive intact if the bag was dropped (I cycle with mine around my shoulder so this is important), the case can be carried this way or with the handle if you prefer. The price from Amazon was the best I could find even after looking on Ebay as long as you buy something else and get the free delivery (I bought some Sony recharge batterys for my tiny dsc 40), around 15 for the lot. These cases retail for 20 on the high street. I Should also mention that the amazon packaging for this order was the best I have come across (almost a shame to throw away). If you want a case for this camera just buy it here and don't waste your time looking around (I have done this for you). Top marks for Lowepro and Amazon and a ticking off for Kodak for not producing a suitable case for this model. Should just finish off by saying that this camera (if your thinking of buying one) really performs well using the max 12x optical zoom and is still great using the added digital zoom. I can't quite believe the clarity I can still get at this range even after blowing up on iphoto with my Mac. Both case and camera (and amazon) are highly recommended by me.
