I bought this movie for my wife because she likes "feel good" movies and this is a great feel good movie. The movie may be a bit hard for Americans to follow at first, but eventually you figure it out and get wrapped up in the story. This is a British film about an Indian (from India) teenage girl in England who is a great soccer player. I'm not any type of sports fan but was able to understand the story when it involved the game. The British accents are a bit strong, but you get used to that too. American are familiar with various racial issues in the US, but England has its own racial issues that were tackled intelligently and sensitively in this film and it was not too hard for this American to follow that part of the story either. The director did a marvelous job bringing this complex film to the screen. There is a little romance, a little action, and some great soccer moves, while also exploring several social issues.
