New England Artist, Bethany Winslow, was born in Concord, NH and raised in Maine where she and her husband continue to reside. She received a BA in Visual Design from the University of Southern Maine in 1998. Afterward, Bethany worked as a graphic designer in a corporate setting as well as freelance until she left the creative world in 2003 to work in the non-profit sector. In 2005, Bethany returns as a fine artist working with oil on canvas. Bethany's vibrant work is inspired by her great love of flowers and her desire to intimately experience their beauty. By isolating her view to a single bloom or a flower center she explores the complex detail of some of the simplest forms capturing their brilliance and subtlety of color.
