Casa Milena located in the peaceful village of Planet, surrounded by pines, larches and firs where you can sometimes spot several spices of alpine fauna, the Bed & Breakfast Casa Milena opens to his guest a magic window over the green valleys and the white peaks of this corner of paradise. Built in 1918 using only local stones and wood, Casa Milena, is the perfect getaway to relax the body and the soul.
All three rooms are cozy and comfortable, warmly furnished in traditional style.
The house has a lawn framed by violets, petunias and roses where the guests can enjoy the cool of the summer, and if they wish, play with the three loving dogs of the owner.
Far from the metropolitan noises and lights, Casa Milenas' nights are plunged in the quietness of the old days, and the only sound you'll hear will be the lullaby of the nearby fountain's flowing water.
Activities : The area offers several occasions for outdoor activity for everybody.
▪ Mountain hiking and climbing : Without using any means of transportation you can reach the 2,698 meters of Punta Chaligne(3-5 hours). Several other easy peaks are reachable within an hours in the Valpelinne and Valle del Gran San Bernardo, and for the experienced alpine climber all the highest mountains in Europe, the Grand Combin in particular, are within an hour drive. Within ten minutes walk there's a natural vertical rocky face available for rock climbing. On weekends a guide is available upon request for lessons and tips.
▪ Mountain Biking : Mountain Bikes are rented on locations. During the weekend a local person could guide you to discover the beauties of the area.
▪ Horse Riding : Peaceful horse rides are available for whoever wants to find the ultimate contact with nature.
In the municipal area of Gignod you can find several sport infrastructures.

From Casa Milena you can easily reach the Roman city of Aosta and all the medieval castles of our beautiful valley.

Casa Milena offers three bedrooms all located on the second floor and have their own terrace.
▪ The "Monte Emilius" is the biggest of the three. It has a double bed, with the possibility to add a single one in casa you have a child. It faces the south east, and it's very luminous and comfortable.
▪ The "Mont Fallere" is the intermediate one and can easily accomodate two people. Perfect for a couple, it has a double bed and all the character of Casa Milena.
▪ The "Grand Combin" is the smallest room. It accommodates 1 person and it's the coziest and warmest of all three. It offers a spectacular sunrise.
All the room share a bathroom with showers and bathtub.
The living room, where breakfast is served, has a independent fireplace that will be turned on the first cold night of September, so that you can enjoy your favorite movie or TV show while sitting on a comfortable rocking chair. We have a VCR-DVD player, and satellite TV.

How to reach Casa Milena
▪ From Aosta take the SS 27 in the direction of the Suisse border. After you pass the village of Gignod (the church will be on your left) turn left in direction Planet. Go straight for 2.5 Km. Turn the right on a narrow road following the indication of Fraz Cheriette. Casa Milena is 300 mt. after on your right side.
▪ If you come with the train of the bus, please advise earlier and we will pick you up in Aosta.
