SOLD 1930-1931 McNeil Laboratories Receipts
Package of 16 receipts originating from McNeil Pharmaceuticals, now known as McNeil Laboratories. Some of the receipts have advertising for different products. One advertises Ampuls Pituitary-Thymus, Digitalis, Sulphen, Umbilical Dressings and other products. One advertises Lubricant for medical instruments. One advertises Analgesics, Antipyretics and Anti-Rheumetics and has a picture of the lubricant described above. Six have a list of products that include: Amifeine, Bisalco, Bromidonna, Chloranos, Digestone, Ferri-Quin, Guaiaphedra, Hemarestors, Individuals, Iocol, Kacyan, Macarbo, Men-Tho-Lyp, Nitrocon, Orcon, Pharodyne, Pheno-Sagra, Phostone, Sulphen, Umbilical Dressings and Yersanco.
There are also a number of salesmans receipts signed by Boyd.
All pieces have the McNeil Trademark in an oval, with the words established 1879 underneath in a rectangle, and the words Pharmaceuticals-Surgical Specialties or Pharmaceuticals-Surgical Dressings. One has a 2900 N. Seventeenth Street, Philadelphia, PA address on it, the others just have Philadelphia PA.
All receipts are made out to Dr. L. West, Brunswick, MD. Receipts date from July 1930 through April 1933. One has a note attached which reads, Evidently the bank holiday prevented your discounting February purchases. As an expression of appreciation for your past prompt settlements, your are privileged to decuct 2% from this statement if it is paid by April 10th. ROBERT McNEIL
There is one envelope with the address across the front and the McNeil logo in the lower left corner. All pieces are in very good to excellent condition, except for the envelope which has soiling, wrinkles and tears.
