A beautiful floral Bohemia Ceramic Work chop plate from Czechoslovakia in the Maria pattern. This is part of the scalloped edge and gold trimmed set. Pink and grey flowers decorate both the center and the rim of the platter, which measures 12" in diameter. The rim has a nice scallop and a waffle impression which peaks along each of the scallops. Bohemia Ceramic Work was founded in 1921 and closed in 1945; the factory was also associated with Philip Rosenthal during the 20s. The plate is marked with a circle and castle. The words Fine Bohemian China surround the castle. Under the circle are the words Made in Czechoslovakia, Maria and the number 21. This is just one of many pieces that I have in this pattern. Please check my other listings for cups and saucers, soup bowls, a creamer and a coffee pot. All pieces are in near mint condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, and no loss of gold trim.
