This early 20th century hatpin is made of spun clear glass that loops in continuous fashion to make the head of the pin. It was spun directly onto the pin, which is made of brass and measures 10" long. There are some rough edges on the head, but there is not breakage in the form. Some seem to have ben created during the manufacturing process, while others may be the effects of age and wear. There is a small portion of the glass that has chipped on the underside of the pin head, noticeable mostly under a loupe. The pin itself is in good condition with an intended bend near the pin head and a slight bend from usage about 1/3 from the bottom. An overall excellent sample of an early hatpin.
